Ottobre's Beckie Jersey Dress

Have you seen the February 2013 issue of Ottobre's woman magazine?  There is a lot to like!  As soon as I saw the Beckie "sporty jersey dress," I knew it was going to be one of the first things I made.  It's simple and cool for summer.  This dress does not take long to make at all.

I purchased this knit fabric from Girl Charlee fabrics.  I can definitely see making more of these dresses in a variety of colors.

  1. Oh gorgeous, I've been waiting to see this one. I have the pattern traced but still thinking of fabrics and hoping for tank weather. I like the subtler contrast of your colors and it is so flattering!

    1. Thanks! They have a couple samples of the dress on the Ottobre Design blog and one is in very bold colors--it looks really neat too!

  2. Looks great! That looks like a pattern you can make over and over again.

  3. Very pretty - I like the fabrics you chose! This one's on my list, but it takes me forever to decide on the fabrics whenever I have to combine fabrics.

    1. Joy, I know what you mean. Sometimes it prevents me from making something for a very long time. Some of the Sew Serendipity dress patterns are beautiful, but they call for 3 or 4 fabrics and that is so hard to coordinate when shopping online, which is mostly what I have to do.
