The Favorite Tee with Legging Outfit

Patterns for Pirates
Favorite Tee Pattern
Ottobre 5/2016 #09

This is a PDF pattern with neckline, sleeve, and hem style/length options.  I really like the knot hem option, but wanted to lower it to tunic length so it could be worn with leggings.  I used the pattern front tunic length line option and transferred that length to the back pattern piece.  The TUNIC option is a split hem with a lower back, so I had to adjust that since I wanted to attach the band to it.

Other alterations made:  Swayback, small bodice graded out to a medium at the waist, raised neckline by 5/8", lowered the armscye 1", and adjusted the width of the sleeve by 1/2".

I purchased this fabric at Joann's.

I'm growing my gray out and it is a slow process, but it's getting longer.  I'm trying to overcome the urge to cut it short and be done with this two-tone color I have going on.

I liked this outfit so much I decided to go ahead and make a second one right away.  This is definitely my kind of style and I'm sure I will be getting a lot of wear out of these two outfits. The pattern name is Favorite Tee, and it is, but it is also my perfect tee!

I have made a few different legging patterns now and this Ottobre legging is so quick and easy.  If I want a fast legging pattern to work with, I grab this one.  It is one pattern piece with elastic sewn in the round to the top and then turned over and sewn again.
